Digital Tattoo

The Digital Tattoo was an entry into the Greener Design Competition and is an interface that is placed under the skin, while the skin above it is impregnated with spheres of ink that change from clear to black when the matrix of the interface is on and vice versa when it’s off.

The concept device is Bluetooth enabled and works with portable devices such as phones, laptops and others that have Bluetooth. The entire interface is also touch sensitive, eventually this could be used in conjuncture with audio implants in the ear to make an entire in body phone. And the clever thing about the device is it runs off blood, that’s right blood, It uses oxygen and glucose found in the blood to make the electricity needed to power it so you wont need to worry about changing the batteries.

The Digital Tattoo also monitors the blood passing through it for blood disorders and will display if there’s something wrong, diabetics will benefit from this because it could be modified to monitor blood sugar levels.
